I just got an e-mali with a link to the following list of creative activities one can do to lose weight. Lots of these made me laugh, and I wasn't exactly sure where to put this, the joake board, or here? Anyway, enjoy. It'll appear in the next post.

49 ways to burn off a Kit Kat

Who knew burning off 436kJ could be so much fun?

It is a truth universally acknowledged that eating chocolate is more fun (and way quicker) than burning it off. So in an attempt to redress the balance, we're giving you creative ways to help shrink a muffin top. Do five of them a day and you can lose half a kilo a week. Hey, you've burned around 8kJ reading this far. See, how easy was that?

1 Rent a DVD of Flight of the Conchords and watch at least two episodes: 10 straight minutes of laughter can burn 168kJ - no joke.

2 Wiggle while you watch for 42 minutes: fidgeters burn up to 1465 more kilojoules a day than couch potatoes.

3 Get off your backside 33 times to change the channel.

4 Find the perfect teeny-weeny polka-dot bikini: try on 16 suits (one suit every three minutes).

5 Polka for real for 24 minutes.

6 Do the horizontal polka, missionary-style, for an hour and 8 minutes.

7 Ride him like a cowgirl for 27 minutes (straddling burns more kJs).

8 Play the guitar (singing cheesy lyrics optional) for 52 minutes.

9 Fly a kite for 21 minutes.

10 Play beach volleyball for 13 minutes.

11 Swim at a leisurely pace for 18 minutes.

12 Do 250 breaststrokes (about 10 minutes).

13 Indulge your inner child and do 27 underwater handstands.

14 Walk a dog for 42 minutes (at 3.5kmph).

15 Let a Great Dane walk you for 13 minutes (8 kmph).

16 Alternate between cat pose, cow pose and downward dog 13 times, holding each for 30 seconds.

17 Push a shopping trolley for 46 minutes.

18 Put a 19kg four-year-old in the child seat and it'll only take half an hour.

19 Carry five shopping bags from the car to the kitchen, put the food away, take out the recycling, wash the dishes, and wipe down the kitchen counter.

20 Walk up and down 33 flights of stairs.

21 Strap on stilettos and you only have to climb 25.*

22 Eat four meals with chopsticks instead of a fork: slowing down can help you consume about 110 fewer kilojoules per meal.

27 Have fun at work: twirl 125 times in your office chair (try not to puke).

28 Get casual for four days: a study shows that people take 491 more steps and burn 105 more kilojoules on days they wear jeans to work.

29 Drink three cups of green tea in 24 hours: researchers say it can increase energy expenditure by 445kJ.

30 Chug 12 glasses of iced water a day (it has the same effect on your metabolism as green tea).

31 Go 32kmph on your bike for seven minutes.

32 Stay up on a unicycle for 21 minutes.

33 Nurse a newborn for 30 minutes.

34 Nurse a hangover: sleep in for an hour and 55 minutes.

35 Kick off your Sunday shoes and dance to the first four songs on the Footloose soundtrack.

36 Spend 30 minutes mopping over any scuff marks.

37 Play Twister for an hour and 10 minutes.

38 Rearrange your furniture for 17 minutes.

39 Sweep your floors for 15 minutes, then vacuum for 15.

40 Play interactive Wii tennis for 13 minutes.

41 No game necessary: Do 780 jumping jacks. Yes, 780.

42 Make like a boxer and skip rope as fast as you can for eight minutes.

Some of these things sound ridiculous, while others seem pretty all right.
No offense, these aren't worth the joke board. But that's just my opinion.

These are cute. Some are cheesy, but most are really fascinating.
